LucasArts confident of small-screen crossover.

The long-gestating and eagerly anticipated Star Wars television series - first mooted back in 2005 - could potentially feature characters from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed game series, according to LucasArts.

Speaking to CVG, the publisher's Haden Blackman said "We're already seeing it reach out into publishing with comic books and novels... Hopefully some day we see these characters on big or little screen."

The Force Unleashed games span the period between episodes III and IV in the Star Wars universe timeline, and the second instalment is due out this autumn.

Despite five years in development, the long-awaited TV series could still be a long way off for fans. Speaking at the recent Empire Strikes Back 30th anniversary screening in Chicago series creator George Lucas was apprehensive about timing - "The live action TV show is kind of on hold because we have scripts, but we don't know how to do 'em."

Which characters from the Star Wars universe would you like to see in the TV series if and when it ever happens? Have your say in the comments below.
