While you're listening to music on a Windows Phone 7 device, you might be wondering how easy it is to get to the next track. It turns out there's a mini-player that you can access from the Start screen for your music controlling ease of use. Check out this screen capture from Long Zheng's walkthrough.

It reminds me a bit of the Web OS notification area that also included media player controls. This should be a big improvement over existing media player controls that require navigating to the specific application. If pressing the volume control hardware buttons make this mini-player immediately visible in all applications, that would be great. Hopefully there will be a hands-free voice interface for controlling music too. Then you won't have to touch the device at all!
