What's New About Nintendo's New Wii Remote?

What's New About Nintendo's New Wii Remote?Over the past few weeks, a new version of Nintendo's Wii Remote controller was tested and ruled totally compliant by the FCC. What has changed about the device that gives the Wii its waggle?
Well, the model number has changed from RVL-003 to RVL-036, but thanks to the confidentiality letter request from the applicant, Hon Hai Precision—which may be better known as Foxconn—we'll have to speculate for now. The wireframe image doesn't tell us much other than "Hey, that's a Wii Remote!" but speculation from Engadget that this may be a Wii Remote with the MotionPlus add-on built-in sounds about right.
Update: Commenter n_gamer notes that the drawing appears slightly different that the current remote, with a new seam at the base of the controller.
We're just a few weeks away from E3, so the timing feels right. Nintendo introduced the Wii MotionPlus accessory at the show two years prior, right around the time developers said they were thinking about ways to integrate the device into the standard Wii Remote. That's something third-party controller makers have already figured out.
Nintendo also plans on showing the new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii at E3, which may very well require the use of Wii MotionPlus to play. Nintendo recently launched a new Wii bundle that includes Wii MotionPlus and Wii Sports Resort, perhaps signaling more aggressive support for the accessory.
So. Wii Remote with Wii MotionPlus standard? Sound right to you?
