Left 4 Dead 2, Dragon Age Sales Hit 3 Million Each

FIFA 10 lifetime sales near 10 million.

February 8, 2010 - Electronic Arts is happy with two of its hardcore titles.

The company announced impressive sales results during its fiscal third quarter earnings call this afternoon for both Dragon Age: Origins and Left 4 Dead 2.

Dragon Age: Origins has shipped 3.2 million copies worldwide since its launch in November 2009. The team is preparing to second title in the series, or perhaps a major downloadable expansion, sometime in early 2011. The new title is expected to launch on consoles, PC, and handhelds (which includes mobile phones).

And as if Valve needed more reason to justify releasing Left 4 Dead 2 as a standalone product, sales for the title "exceeded expectations" for EA, which shipped 2.9 million copies worldwide during the quarter.

Some other sales highlights include FIFA Soccer 10, which has shipped a whopping 9.7 million copies since launch in October, and Madden NFL 10, which shipped over 2.3 million copies in retail during the quarter.
