Modern Warfare 2 to Remain Zombie-free

The undead will be kept at bay until at least the next Call of Duty installment.

February 22, 2010 - If there's one lasting memory that many of us have from Call of Duty: World at War, it's the Nazi-Zombie horde mode of sorts that pit you against endless waves of the undead. Well, despite clamoring from the Call of Duty community that a zombie mode of some sort would be a welcome addition to Modern Warfare 2, it appears that Infinity Ward is staying the course of hinging the game at least slightly in reality.

We got confirmation late last year that there would be no Zombie mode in the retail release of MW2, but over the weekend, while at the worldwide Call of Duty Finals Tournament, Robert Bolding from Infinity Ward dashed the last bit of hope when he said, "There will be no Nazis or zombies in any piece of Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content."

So, there you have it. At the very least your Nazi-zombie killing habits will have to wait until the next installment of Call of Duty, which Activision confirmed will happen later this year.
