McDonalds Goes Upscale

It’s the third restaurant in our area to get a new look called “Forever Young.” On the outside the arches have been softened. Warm brick and yellow accents replaced the red and white of the past. There are even two drive-through lanes to get people in and out quickly. Inside people find comfortable booths, a TV and a softer atmosphere.
Managers say they want people to slow down and stay awhile, like they would in a cafe.
Other McDonald’s stores that have the new look include one in Gates, Wolcott--
and on East Avenue near Wegmans, the McDonald’s has already been torn down to be rebuilt like the one in Perinton..
The fresh image appears to be working--local managers say it’s helped boost sales and traffic
